Dearest Cha-Ching Wisdom Readers,

So much has transpired in the last 6 – 8 months that it becomes overwhelming to report on the world from a financial and economic perspective. The important part is the translation into what it all means to you and me, the spectators on the sidelines of the numerous debacles erupting around us.

First of all, let us examine the late, not-so-great, so-called Super Committee of 2011. The 535 members of the United States House of Representative and Senate failed to come up with a reasonable plan to restrain expenses and/or raise taxes to close the now $15.053 trillion cash-based national debt, a number...

Dear fans and patient readers,

It has been many months since I have updated the Cha-Ching Wisdom blog, and for that, I am truly sorry.  When life gets in the way, the time to write is consumed by the hottest fire.  Now, for the most amazing news:

Cha-Ching Wisdom is going GLOBAL!!!

Effective in September, the rights to re-publish Cha-Ching Wisdom have been negotiated with the Jarir Bookstore in Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.  Included within the agreement is the translation into Arabic and the distribution rights to the entire Arabic speaking world.  Additionally, the distribution rights in India have been negotiated under a separate...

Since my last entry, oil has erupted (so to speak). The unrest and outright revolution in the Middle East and North Africa has blown the gasket off of oil prices. Brent oil peaked at $118/barrel today. Additionally, gold and silver, the mainstays of value in the time of global recession, are making daily advances, with silver commonly increasing by $1/day. Just as silver has shot up to almost $37/ounce, up by 30% in a matter of two months, so have consumables. Look at gas prices. At some locations, diesel has gone up 50 - 60 cents (15 - 20%) in one week. In one of the most un-reported stories, the Ivory Coast, the largest cocoa producer in the world, has nationalized all of its coffee...

Cha-Ching Wisdom is now in bookstores worldwide! And what a perfect time it is for some precise words of advice without the tediously written droning of page-after-page of most personal finance books. In the spirit of Cha-Ching Wisdom, I would like to give further, very specific pearls of wisdom to those of you rightfully fretting about the financial condition of our country and our world.

The New Year is upon us and many fears are lying just beneath the surface in most people’s economic future. To start off the New Year with strength and integrity is to make important decisions. Not to deny the obvious or to be lulled into complacency of how life and the world "...

Today was a magical day!  The first copies of Cha-Ching Wisdom were delivered to my door today and the excitement is spreading.  The message of the book is one of inspiration in the face of despair.  Why would there be hope in what is seemingly a recessed/depressed economy?  The message of change and victory over adversity is the spirit of the season.

I know.  I know.  News of quantitative easing, dollar devaluation, the Chinese secretly divesting out of the U.S. dollar and investing in tonnes of gold, endless foreign wars, 9.8% unemployment, out-of-control government spending, and $9 Trillion in US and European banker bailouts can ruin...

Nov 10 2010 - 10:35pm

Welcome to November!!  It may not feel like a “Cha-Ching” month for many of you (unless you own gold).

What a week it has been. Tuesday’s mid-term elections reflected the discontent of the American public regarding the current economic path of our nation, followed Wednesday by the announcement of Quantitative Easing Part 2 (a.k.a. cheapen the dollar II). Associated economic news included yet another peak in the prices of oil, grains, gold and silver, and the U.S. Dollar (Dolor) hovering near all-time lows. China, Russia and Brazil are contemplating tariffs on U.S. imported goods (if we do not play nicely); the “recovery” is jobless and the...
